In short

We use your birth details to calculate your chart, and your questions to write answers. We do not use passwords or show ads, and we count visits without cookies or identifying you.

Hosting, database, payment, AI and delivery services process data for us, and some of them are outside India. We keep your data until you ask us to delete it, except records the law makes us keep.

Questions or requests: [To be confirmed: data protection email address].

1. Who we are

Astro21 (the website and app at www.astro21.io) is run by Titan Orbyt Technologies LLC, a company set up in Dubai mainland, United Arab Emirates. In this policy “we” and “us” mean Titan Orbyt Technologies LLC.

We decide why and how your personal data is used. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 that makes us the “Data Fiduciary”; under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law we are the “Controller”.

Company
Titan Orbyt Technologies LLC
Registered office
[To be confirmed: registered office address in Dubai, as on the trade licence]
Trade licence
[To be confirmed: trade licence number], [To be confirmed: licensing authority, as printed on the trade licence]
Data protection contact
[To be confirmed: name or role of the data protection contact], [To be confirmed: data protection email address]
Grievance Officer

This policy explains how we handle personal data under these laws:

  • India: the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules 2025 (most of their duties apply from 13 May 2027), and until then the Information Technology Act 2000 with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules 2011.
  • United Arab Emirates: Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what each feature needs. Here is each purpose, with the data it uses.

Signing in

  • Your mobile number or email address. We send a one-time code to it each time you sign in. Astro21 does not use passwords.
  • A record of each code we send: the number or email address, the time, and whether it was sent.
  • An account ID (a random code) and your sign-in session.

Why: to create your account, sign you in, and stop misuse of the sign-in system.

Your profile and birth details

  • Your name, gender, and your date, time and place of birth. For the place we also store its map coordinates and time zone.
  • Your language and whether you use the Simple or Expert view.

Why: to calculate your Kundli, charts, dashas and daily readings, and to show them in your language. Your birth details are the core of the service: without them we cannot calculate your chart.

Where you are now (optional)

You can give a current place: a city you choose, or your device’s location if you tap “Use my location” and your browser allows it. The app rounds the device position to about 1 km before it leaves your device, and our server rounds it further, to about 10 km, to find the nearest town. We save the rounded position, the town and its time zone with your account, or only in your browser if you are not signed in.

Why: hora, panchang, muhurat and “today” depend on where you are. Your birth chart always uses your birth place.

The AI astrologer and readings

  • Your questions and the answers, the first reading after you join, your daily, weekly and monthly horoscope, and written explanations of your Kundli and of Kundli Milan results.
  • Your chat history: we keep your latest 200 messages with your account so you can read them again. Older messages drop off as new ones arrive.
  • Saved copies of readings we have generated, so we do not have to generate them again.
  • Usage records: which AI feature you used, how much text it processed, and when.
  • When our checker removes a sentence that contradicts your calculated chart, a record of that sentence, what the chart says, the feature, the AI model and your account ID.

Why: to answer your questions, keep your history, apply your plan’s limits, and measure and improve accuracy. Section 6 explains how the AI works.

Voice input. If you use the microphone button, your browser’s own speech recognition turns your speech into text. Depending on your browser, the sound may be processed by your browser maker’s service under its own terms. Astro21 receives only the text.

Kundli Milan (matching)

The two people’s names and their birth dates, times and places. The score is calculated in your browser, and the entries are kept in that browser only, so you do not have to type them again (the “Clear both” button removes them). Place names you type are looked up on our server. If you ask for a written explanation, both sets of birth details are sent to our server to recalculate the match, the names and the calculated match go to our AI model providers, and the explanation is saved for your account.

Payments

What you bought, the amount, the date, the payment status, the order and payment reference numbers, and the name on your account. You enter your card, UPI or bank details in our payment processor’s own window: we do not receive or store them. The processor tells us whether the payment succeeded.

Why: to take payment, give you what you paid for, handle refunds, and keep the accounts and tax records the law requires.

Complete Kundli Report orders

  • The name, gender (optional) and birth date, time and place of the person the report is for. That may be you or someone else.
  • The email address and WhatsApp number you give for delivery. If you give none, we use the email address or phone number you sign in with.
  • The order and delivery status, and the report itself (a PDF and a web version), kept in private storage so you can download it again from My reports.

Why: to prepare the report you ordered and deliver it.

Consultations with astrologers

  • Which astrologer you are connected to and when the session ends, and the messages you write during the session, which are saved in your chat history.
  • Calls: sound (and video, if you choose a video call) travel directly between your device and the astrologer’s device. Astro21 does not record calls. To set up a call, connection servers run by other companies see both devices’ internet (IP) addresses.
  • Dakshina: the amount you offer and to which astrologer.

While you are connected, the astrologer can see your profile: your name, your birth details and your chat history on Astro21, including earlier questions to the AI. The astrologer can also ask our AI for a short brief on your chart and your last 8 questions. Technically, this access covers your whole profile record, which also holds the phone number or email you sign in with, although the astrologer’s screen does not display it. The access ends when the session ends.

Why: so the astrologer can read your chart and answer you.

Shop orders

The product, and the delivery address, city, PIN code and phone number you enter. Why: to deliver your order and handle returns.

If you are an astrologer on Astro21

Your public listing (name, photo, speciality, rate and online status), the clients connected to you, your earnings and your payout requests. Why: to list you, connect clients and pay you.

Technical data

Like every website, your browser sends standard information with each request, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the page asked for. Our hosting and database providers keep request logs for security and to run the service. Our hosting provider also counts page views and measures page speed for us: it records the page, the referring site, browser, device type and country, sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify you. Astro21 runs no advertising trackers and shows no third-party advertising. A few settings are kept in your browser; the Cookies and storage page lists each one.

We do not ask for payment card numbers, passwords, government ID numbers, photos or documents. If you choose to write health, money or other sensitive details in a question, they are stored with your chat history like any other message.

4. Birth details of other people

You can enter other people’s details: a partner for Kundli Milan, or a family member, including a child, for a Kundli report. When you do:

  • Enter someone else’s details only if they have agreed, or if you are their parent or lawful guardian. For anyone under 18 you must be their parent or lawful guardian.
  • Tell them what will happen with their details, and point them to this policy.
  • We use their details only to give you the result you asked for.

Kundli Milan entries stay in your browser unless you ask for a written explanation (section 2). Report details are stored with the order. The person whose details you entered can ask us to delete them by writing to our data protection contact.

5. Children and people under 18

Astro21 accounts are for adults. You must be 18 or older to sign in and to pay. Under India’s data protection law, using a child’s personal data needs verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian. Astro21 does not yet have a way to check a parent’s consent online, so we do not knowingly open accounts for people under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete its data, except records the law makes us keep.

A parent may enter their own child’s birth details, for example to order a report for the child. We use those details only for what the parent asked for. We do not track children’s behaviour or target advertising at children; Astro21 has no advertising and no tracking that identifies anyone.

Parents with questions can write to our data protection contact at [To be confirmed: data protection email address].

6. How we use AI

The AI astrologer, the horoscopes, the written explanations, the personal readings in the Kundli report and the consultation brief for astrologers are written by AI models from your calculated chart.

What we send

  • For answers and readings: your name, gender, birth date, time and place, your current place, the chart we calculated, your question, and up to the last 20 messages of the conversation.
  • For a Kundli Milan explanation: the two names and the calculated match (such as Moon signs, nakshatras and scores).
  • For a Kundli report: the details of the person the report is for.
  • Your Astro21 account ID, so limits can be applied. We do not include your phone number or email address.

Who receives it

Requests go through an AI routing service to AI model providers. If one provider is unavailable, the request may go to another. These companies may be outside India and the UAE. [To be confirmed: whether AI model providers keep what we send, for how long, and whether they may train on it]

The checker

Before you see an answer, our checker compares its statements about planets, signs, houses, nakshatras, dashas and dates with your calculated chart, and removes sentences that contradict it. This reduces mistakes; it cannot remove all of them. AI can still be wrong about anything the checker does not test. See the Disclaimer.

No automated decisions about you

AI writes text for you to read. We do not use it to make decisions about you that have legal or similar effects. Prices, plan limits and question counts are fixed rules, the same for everyone on the same plan.

7. Who we share data with

We share data with service providers who process it for us, and only what each one needs for its job. We do not name them here; each is described by what it does.

  • Hosting provider: runs the website, our server functions and scheduled jobs. Everything you send to Astro21 passes through its servers ([To be confirmed: country and city where the app’s servers run]). It keeps request logs.
  • Cloud database provider (servers in [To be confirmed: country and city of the cloud database servers]): stores your account, profile, chat history, orders and report files, runs sign-in, and carries live consultation messages and call set-up signals.
  • Sign-in code delivery: sign-in codes are sent by email, or by a text-message provider to your phone.
  • Payment processor: receives the amount, our order reference, your account ID and the kind of purchase, and your phone number or email to fill in its form. You give it your payment details directly.
  • AI routing service and AI model providers: see section 6.
  • Voice provider: when you tap Read aloud on an answer, the answer’s text and its language go to a text-to-speech service, which returns the audio. Your name, birth details and account are not sent with it.
  • Email delivery provider: sends the Kundli report email (your email address, your name and the download link).
  • WhatsApp business messaging provider: sends the Kundli report on WhatsApp (your number, your name and the report or its link).
  • Place search: birth-place search uses a place list on our own servers. If we switch on an external mapping service for signed-in users, the text you type in the place search and the chosen place’s coordinates go to that service to find the place and its time zone.
  • Web font service: the app’s fonts load from a font provider’s servers, so your browser sends it your IP address and browser details.
  • Call connection servers: see “Consultations” in section 2.
  • Delivery partner for shop orders: your name, address, PIN code and phone number.
  • Astrologers you connect with: see “Consultations” in section 2.
  • Our team: a small number of authorised staff can see account and order records to give support, handle refunds and fix problems.
  • Others, when required: courts, police, regulators and other authorities when the law requires it; our lawyers, accountants and auditors; and a buyer or successor of the business, who must keep to this policy.

8. Where your data is stored, and transfers abroad

Most Astro21 users live in India, and our company is in the UAE. Your account data is stored with our cloud database provider in [To be confirmed: country and city of the cloud database servers], and our servers run in [To be confirmed: country and city where the app’s servers run]. AI model providers and other service providers may process data in other countries.

India’s data protection law allows personal data to go abroad except to countries the Government of India restricts; we will follow any such restriction. UAE law allows transfers abroad where the other country protects data adequately, or on other grounds the law sets out, such as a transfer needed to provide the service you asked for. We rely on those grounds.

9. How long we keep data

At present we keep your account data until you ask us to delete it. We do not yet delete inactive accounts automatically. Some records are kept after deletion because the law requires them: payment and order records for 8 years, and security logs for at least 12 months.

The Data storage and retention page lists every kind of data, where it is kept, for how long and how it is deleted.

10. How we protect your data

  • Connections to Astro21 are encrypted (HTTPS), and the site tells browsers to use only encrypted connections.
  • Sign-in uses one-time codes, so there is no Astro21 password to steal.
  • Database access rules let each signed-in person read only their own records. An astrologer can see only the client connected to them, and only during the session. Staff access is limited to administrator accounts.
  • Secret keys stay on our servers. Prices and limits are checked on our servers, and every payment confirmation is checked with the payment processor’s signature.
  • Report files are kept in private storage. Download links expire: after 5 minutes in the app, and after 7 days in the email or WhatsApp message.
  • Your device location is rounded before it leaves your device, and location is sent in the body of requests rather than in web addresses, which servers often log.

No system is completely secure. If you think your account has been misused, tell us at once.

11. If there is a data breach

If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you without delay, in the app or by email or text message, with:

  • what happened, when, and what data it involved;
  • the likely consequences for you;
  • what we have done and are doing about it, and what you can do to protect yourself;
  • who to contact.

We will also report it to the authorities as the law requires, including the Data Protection Board of India (with a detailed report within 72 hours, once those rules apply), the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), and the UAE Data Office.

12. Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you, how we use it, and who we have shared it with, and give you a copy.
  • Correct or update it. You can change your name, gender, birth details, places and language yourself in the app. To change the phone number or email you sign in with, write to us.
  • Delete it: see Delete your account.
  • Stop using it, by withdrawing consent (section 3).
  • Hear your complaint and put it right (section 13).
  • Accept a nominee: you can name a person who may use these rights for you if you die or can no longer act. Write to our data protection contact with their name and contact details.

Under UAE law you can also ask us to restrict how we use your data, object to a use, and receive your data in a form you can move to another service.

How to ask: write to [To be confirmed: data protection email address] from the email address you sign in with, or include the phone number you sign in with. We may ask you to confirm the request from that number or address before acting, so nobody else can get your data. We acknowledge requests within 48 hours and aim to complete them within one month, and never later than the law allows (under the Indian rules, 90 days at most).

If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India (once its complaint process applies) or to the UAE Data Office.

The law also asks you to give true details, not to pretend to be someone else, and not to make false complaints.

14. Cookies and browser storage

Astro21 sets no cookies of its own. It keeps your sign-in session and a few settings in your browser’s local storage. The Cookies and storage page lists each item, why it is there and how to clear it.

15. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and ask for your consent again where the law requires.
